Sorry for the skipped day yesterday – it’ll pay off at the end of this week, hopefully! Anyway, this week’s ditty’s are settings of the always-enlightening Missed Connections section of Craigslist. First up, a short cop-out ditty, care of this posting!
I’m away for the day, so sadly, there’s no ditty. So instead, I give you Paul and Storm, two men who every day give me hope that there is a market for the silly things I do. They basically get paid to perform fake jingles live!
I imagine that the Tourism Committee for Camden, New Jersey has a tough job on their hands. So I’ve decided to help them out, by offering this catchy tune they can use for their radio and TV spots.
Another silly product jingle: this one’s for bread!
This was inspired by my friend Bonnie, who was recently hit by a taxi in New York. She’s on lots of pain killers that make her say silly things, so she asked me to write a song about it.
Ak! I’m late on this one! It may not technically be Monday, but here is Monday’s ditty, nonetheless. This kicks off product jingle week here at Ditty a Day, and this idea is thanks to @lesisputnik! Let me know in the comments if you have any silly product jingle requests.
Just made it by the skin of my teeth today! Anyway, on this day in 1888, a press conference in London featured the first phonograph recording to be heard in England: “The Lost Chord,” by Arthur Sullivan, recorded by Thomas Edison. This is that recording, gone all 21st-century. They didn’t use click tracks back then…
Today is Fidel Castro’s birthday, apparently.
